Hit points come from the frame's structural mass — a heavier crab simply has more hull to chew through. Armour is the separate layer that stops rounds landing at all. Battle damage is tracked per-system: life support, structure, mobility (speed %), plus discrete hits (turret out, fires). Life-support failure forces crew evacuation — the crab is lost even if structurally intact.
